YOMO
Unit of Moolah Shrine
St. Louis, Missouri
|
Who is YOMO? The YOMO unit originated as a group of Young Moolah Shriners, who because of their age could share a common purpose that would increase visibility of the Shrine and the Shrine Hospitals, and promote new membership for our fraternity. Since the origin, it was decided to keep the members instead of making them get another unit when they get over 35 years of age. Currently the ages of YOMO members span from 18 years of age to over 90 years. One of the first functions of YOMO was a Speakers Bureau to bring the message of the "World's Greatest Philanthropy" to religious, civic, veterans, service, schools and other organizations. To learn more, click on Speakers Bureau above. Then there is the other side of the YOMO. This is known as the Mini Patrol, and features the miniature Yellow cars that look like Jeeps and '32 Roadsters. Click on Mini-Patrol above to learn more about this part of YOMO. YOMO has been instrumental in presenting the "fun side" as well as the "serious side" and purpose of being a Shriner to the general public. YOMO
Ladies are encouraged to become involved in the YOMO activities,
and join in at functions or events in which we participate. Our Ladies are
most helpful in carrying out our mission but more importantly share in the
fun and excitement of road trips. Without bragging, it is safe to
say that YOMO is one of the most active units in MOOLAH Temple, and
has the BEST members. Meeting Time & Location: 2nd Wednesday of each month 7:00 PM - 3rd Floor, Southwest wing of Moolah Shrine, 12545 Fee Fee Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63146 Annual Dues: YOMO $30.00 (Mini-Patrol Members add $20.00) |
